James Robb - Born circa 1851

Married Marion Hamilton and was farming at Colinshiels, near Bathgate, for the 1881 census.

I believe they had at least two children - John and William.

Their son John married Anna Black, born in 1869. I believe they had at least six children - James, William, John, Richard, Marion, and Jenny.

William Robb - Born circa 1853

Married Jessie Joan McNaught and was living at 12 Stevenson Drive, Cathcart, Renfrew, for the 1881 census.

I believe they had at least five children - John born in 1878, William born in 1881, Robert, James, and David. William died in 1915 and Jessie died in 1938.

Their son John married Agnes Lawson, born in 1885. I believe they had at least four children - William, Nancy, Jessie and John. John died 1949. Agnes died in 1968.

Their son William married Euphemia Janet Murray . Euphemia, born in 1884. I believe they had only one child - William Murray McNaught Robb. William died 1939. Euphemia died in 1969.

John Robb - Born 23 February 1856

Married Janet Walker and was living in Almond Ter, Kirkliston, Linlithgow, for the 1881 census. Also in the household was Janet's grandfather James.

Richard Robb - Born 25 April 1858

Married Jane Tinning. He became a Church of Scotland Minister in Longtown Aberdeen. I believe they had at least four children - John, Richard, Violet and Margaret.

Andrew Robb - Born circa 1860

Was working as an Inland Revenue Officer in Glasgow, boarding at 47 Grove Street, Glasgow the house of James Bracken, a fellow Inland Revenue Officer.

Andrew married Lilian Ann Tilley in England in Oct-Dec 1895 in Hackney (Ref:  Dec quarter 1895 Hackney 1b 1022).  For the first couple of years they seemed to have lived around Basford on the Nottinghamshire\Derbyshire border as that is where the births of their first two children were registered - Eva Catherine born around Jul-Sep 1896 and Adrian John born around Apr-Jun 1898. However by 1899 they seem to have returned to Scotland as for the census of 1901 not only were they recorded back in Scotland living at 298 Langside Road, Glasgow, but there was a third child Francis Andrew listed in their household identified as born 1898\99 in Glasgow. I believe they had at least a further two children - Richard and Madalaine.

Married Alex Smith (Colliedeen).

Robert Robb - Born 15 April 1864

Married Agnes Meikle. I believe they had at least four children - John, Helen, George, Robert, Edward Samuel, Hugh and Jessie.

Mary Robb - Born 13 April 1867

Married Henry Hay brother of the Jessie Hay married by her brother Thomas. I believe they had at least eight children - Mary, Jean, Jessie, Isabella, John, James, Henry and Maisie.

Thomas Robb - Born 15 March 1869

Married Jessie Hay sister of the Henry Hay married by his sister Mary. I believe they had at least five children - Mary, Jessie, Jean, James and John.

Alexander Robb - Born 27 April 1871

Married Amy Wilson and became a Church of Scotland Minister in Laurieston. Amy died in 1932.

Hugh Robb - Born circa 1876

Married Mary Aitken .
